Yasmin Asar

Yasmin is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the MEEP Lab. She recently submitted her PhD thesis, which was completed under the supervision of Simon Ho and Hervé Sauquet (Royal Botanic Garden). Her PhD project explored the link between molecular and morphological rates of evolution in flowering plants.

Yasmin received the University Medal for her 1st Class Honours research project on flowering plants, which was completed in the MEEP Lab in 2020 under the supervision of Simon Ho and Hervé Sauquet (Botanic Gardens of Sydney). Before joining the MEEP Lab, Yasmin completed a Bachelor of Advanced Science in 2019 at Macquarie University.
