Kyle is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the MEEP Lab. He completed his PhD in 2020 under the supervision of Nathan Lo, Simon Ho, Rebecca Johnson (Australian Museum), and Rob Ogden (University of Edinburgh). His PhD research involved a genetic approach to study the evolution and phylogeography of two commonly traded Australian cockatoo species (red-tailed black-cockatoo and pink cockatoo) and an introduced invasive bird (common myna). For the final part of his PhD, Kyle was based primarily in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
