Jenny Wang

Jenny is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Professor Simon Ho and Dr Yi-Kai Tea (Australian Museum). Her research focuses on the systematics and taxonomy of wrasses (family Labridae), integrating morphological and molecular techniques to resolve taxonomic and evolutionary questions.

She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours (class I) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Her Honours research investigated the reproductive microbiome associated with male pregnancy in seahorses.

Jenny also works as a Technical Officer with the Australian Centre for Wildlife Genomics at the Australian Museum. Outside of research, she enjoys spending time underwater as an active member of the underwater hockey community.
