Fred Jaya
Fred joined as a Research Assistant in 2020 and is providing bioinformatics support for various projects in the MEEP Lab. He has a range of experience in computational biology, process automation, and pipeline development. Previously, Fred worked on various projects involving population genetics, biogeography, and epidemiology.
Fred is completing a Master of Science (Research) degree at the University of Technology Sydney, under the supervision of Aaron Darling and Barbara Brito-Rodriguez. His research involves benchmarking bioinformatic tools used to assess recombination in RNA viruses.
