Felipe commenced his PhD in 2026 under the supervison of Nathan Lo and Simon Ho. His research interests include molecular evolution, spatial modelling, and invasive ecology. For his PhD thesis, Felipe is working on the biogeography and radiative speciation of ants in Australia, with a focus on the endemic and alien species on Lord Howe Island.
Outside academia, Felipe enjoys lifting, hiking, and movies.
